Trip to China: Beijing July 05 – 26
Hi everybody. I simply wanted to let you know that I will be staying in Beijing from July 5th till the 26th. As most of you know I will be attending an IR course at Peking University. The professors will be two IR academics: Michael Cox and Odd Arne Westad from IDEAS, LSE’s center for the study of international relations, diplomacy and grand strategy.
I am sure, all in all, the experience will be very rewarding. I believe it is a good opportunity to visit the capital of the Middle Kingdom, some days before the Olympics Games, and at the same time study something I find fascinating. I will be posting photos of my journey in Beijing on a daily basis, so you can follow my steps while I am there.
I will be meeting some of you while in Beijing, mostly old chinese friends, but if any of my western friends happen to be around there, drop me a few lines and we can certainly meet and have some drinks in a traditional tea house or something more exotic that the typical pub, bar or wine bar as in Europe!

Enjoy this trip, my good friend. This is surely going to be a life experience. Make the most out of it and I’m sure you’ll come back as a regenerated being. I’ll be visiting instead Europe’s door to Asia, the once upon a time powerful Ottoman Empire’s craddle.

Thanks Luis for your comment. Btw, it looks like in september I will be moving to london. From October I will become a full-time student again, after 8 years of non-stop slavery, this time to study that master in international relations at LSE I always wanted to study. Enjoy Turkey my good friend! And beware of the eunuchs!! They tend to love Spanish good looking guys!! jajajaja
